Zentangle®

What is Zentangle®

Zentangle® is an easy-to-learn, relaxing way of drawing repetitive patterns to create beautiful works of art. Anyone can learn this art form by simply drawing a line, a circle, a dot or a S-curve.

There are no mistakes; only mistangles.

Philosophy of Zentangle®

The Zentangle art form and method was created by Rick Roberts and Maria Thomas from the United States. Some of the ways the Zentangle method is being used include:

  • the practice of meditation and mindfulness
  • increasing focus and concentration
  • boosting self-esteem and self-confidence
  • creating a deep sense of relaxation and calmness
  • developing an increased sense of personal well being

Creative ways to learn Zentangle®

  • Host a party at home for friends or family members
  • Bond with your young children/grandchildren by tangling together
  • Hose a Zentangle session at a child’s birthday party (between the ages of 5 to 12)
  • Engage children and youths during church camps
  • Engage children and youths in schools’ extra curricular programs
  • Have a Zentangle session before bedtime during stressful exam periods
  • Have a Zentangle team bonding session with colleagues
  • Host a Zentangle session for mature adults and seniors (age 50 and up) to empower this cohort that learning a new art form is possible.

I am a Certified Zentangle Teacher (CZT) and I offer Zentangle classes to individuals and groups (such as in schools and in non-profit organizations; groups of friends and neighbours). I have done it via Zoom to small groups as well.

I am also available to teach at corporate events. One-to-one classes can also be arranged. Contact me to enquire or to get a quote.

I would love to collaborate with schools to bring this art to their students. Through tangling, they could learn to slow down and become more focused.

I would also love to collaborate with organizations to bring this art as a corporate wellness program to their employees.
